growth portfolios since 1999. Over the last
decade, his GIPS-verified portfolio has ranked
in the top 5 percent among its peers according
to Informas PSN manager database. Since
2006, this large-cap growth strategy has also
been available via a mutual fund, The Leeb Focus
Fund (LCMFX). In 2011, Leeb Capital Management
launched The Leeb Resources Fund (LCMRX), a
mutual fund invested with the belief that we
are in an era of global resource and energy
shortages and unprecedented inflationary pressures.
Leeb Capital Management has managed this strategy
for clients since 2005.
Dr.
Leeb sits on various corporate boards, where
he shares his strategic perspectives on financial
markets and natural resources. Since 2008, Dr.
Leeb has been a director of Plain Sight Systems,
a Yale University-based technology holding company
that owns a world-class patent portfolio in
areas such as information organization/search,
computational analytics, electro-optics, and
spectroscopy. These technologies are critical
in translating massive amounts of data into
information and have applications across a multitude
of major industries ranging from health care
to cyber security to defense to financial analysis.
Since
2006, Dr. Leeb has been head of the advisory
board of Leor Exploration & Production LLC,
a Houston-based oil and gas exploration company
whose Texas operations were sold in November
2007 to Encana for $2.55 billion. Since 2007
he has been a member of the advisory board of
Electrum USA Ltd., one of the worlds largest
privately held gold exploration companies. He
is also on the advisory board of Sunshine Silver
Mine Corp., a privately held silver exploration
company.
Dr.
Leeb also sits on the board of Water Intelligence
plc, a publicly traded London-based company
that has developed cutting-edge technology for
managing water supplies. He also is on the board
of Deep Markets Corporation, a division of Plain
Sight Systems that is developing next-generation
risk management applications.
Dr.
Leeb is a prolific author of books that present
his macro-perspectives on global economic trends
along with advice to investors. His books have
been notable for predicting the secular bull
market that began in the 1980s (Getting in on
the Ground Floor, Putnam, 1986); the crash in
tech stocks and the rise of real assets including
oil and gold (Defying the Market: Profiting
in the Turbulent Post-Technology Market Boom,
McGraw-Hill, 1999); and the surge in oil prices
(The Oil Factor: Protect Yourself and Profit
from the Coming Energy Crisis, Warner Books,
2004). Game Over: How You Can Prosper in a Shattered
Economy (Business Plus, 2009) predicted a permanent
peak in global commodity production. Dr. Leebs
eighth and latest book, Red Alert (Hachette)
is being published in 2011.
Dr.
Leeb is a frequent guest on national television
and radio financial shows, including those broadcast
on Fox News, CNN, Bloomberg, and NPR, and has
spoken at numerous investment conferences. In
2010 he gave the keynote address at an energy
conference sponsored by J.P. Morgan. As an expert
on energy, materials, and their interrelationships,
Dr. Leeb consulted for the Congressional Research
Service in Spring 2011.

Leeb earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics
